the holidays...

we visited a local house that won the today show's contest for america's most decorated house. we could hardly believe it and I think the children thought we were visiting santa's workshop and ancient bethlehem all in one evening!

cason and elisa wanted to be a part of the manger scene...

good times...

they love to pretend and i think this was a boat they created...

she's sure she is a princess

Go Chargers!

i think this was supposed to be Jerusalem (with a manger scene built into the city wall...)

they still adore "NuNu" and want to be with her all the time. they call her "mae-mae, the beauty" some of their biggest quarrels are over who gets to hold or be next to her!

Local sights around our new home...

this photo was taken right before we were welcomed by our first North Carolina down-pour and had to rush off the beach!

our new home town- funny, huh?

Maeli (pronounced MAYlee) and our growing family...

I could not imagine Cason and Elisa loving Maeli more than they do! They always want to hold her, play with her, feed her, and tell her how beautiful she is. Someday I know I will have to remind them of the days when she could do no wrong in their eyes.

my big helper...

Elisa (2 & 1/2) and Maeli (1 week)

Elisa and Maeli (3 months) - look at how much she's grown!!

I couldn't resist!

They call her "NuNu" -because she's so new, they say. She is so sweet.

she sucks her thumb and I, of course, love it!

bath time...roarrrrrrr!

Our 3-legged Isabelle lounging on the church playground (which happens to be in our backyard!)

"Leafy" still loves her baby dolls and always tells me: "I'm a mommy too!"
